Using a fab kit I bought from tkmaxx, MME, I pulled together a 2 photo layout with lots of stamping on the background.
Sewing the sunshine behind this layout was a labour of love! I didn't really need much more adding, so simply added a very long title! Lol
Loved doing this double cluster layout and adding embellishments that needed using up!
Karen brought her Emma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-48589088906242860562015-06-10T09:42:00.002+01:002015-06-10T09:42:59.687+01:00Bramford crop June 2015 - Well today was a strange one! A quiet crop as the start of the summer weather and getaways commence, I still can't get over there were only ten of us in attendance!
Today was a day of finishing off projects for me. I had a good sort through the craft room last weekend and purged an awful lot to sell at the crop (sadly a lot of it is now in a charity shop) So to limit my stash for creating Emma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-82208520610835441632015-05-25T10:30:00.000+01:002015-05-25T10:30:02.122+01:00playing with stamps and stuff part twoCarrying on from my adventures with many paints, stalls and stencils, here are 2 more items I created.
My new Suzi-blu stamp, pre-loved of course, took centre stage on this 8x8 page. I am going to be mounting this into a frame eventually.
The background paper is some I bought from TKMAXX, despite being very busy, worked well. I muted the centre with white gesso, stamp the image with archival Emma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-35789288823878962802015-05-24T16:59:00.001+01:002015-05-24T17:13:01.858+01:00Had a play this weekend with my journal and stencils.. all work in progress! Lol
I wad going to enter them into the paperartsy challenge, but I missed the cut off point! What am I like!?
This one is a rather large LO in my Swedish book, I added lots of Decoart fluid acrylic paints with different stencils and using my new prima flower background stamps, then added a new girl image (I'm still Emma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-47712619451662909212015-05-04T14:09:00.002+01:002015-05-04T14:09:37.298+01:00National Scrapbooking Day @ Bramford cropToday was a good day.
I knew that I'd be pretty stationary until around 8pm, so first thing I pushed myself to go to parkrun at Chantry park, walking/jogging around a 5km course. I succeeded in 50minutes.
Anyhow, down to business, I ended up arriving at the crop around 11am, in time for some cake (well rewarded)
Lovely friends to crop and chat with!

I bought some cartridge paper from Paperchase to make an art journal from scratch. Good old YouTube, from watching many, many videos I kind of got the jist of making a book. The binding looked confusing, but I managed to muddle through, its an emma styley, it looks pretty and functions very well!!
I've started journalling it already, mostly with pencil and the odd doodle when I find Emma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-73838619448726587342014-11-14T21:49:00.000+00:002015-05-04T14:11:16.404+01:00More Christmas cards from Karen's Well, better late than never, here are the rest of the cards that I made.
More card making with my own girls this weekend as well as starting on decorations for our house. We are all looking forward to it!

Well she certainly worked us hard!
There was a good turn out and despite me turning up half way during the day, I managed to make all of the cards prepared for us! (and more! lol)
Hope that you like, I'll add some more pictures up tomorrow.

Hoo!End of term, I don't usually give gifts to the teachers. But the girls wanted me to make something little. I'd seen these owls on ravelry, and rattled a few out! As you do!
It took me about a week to complete them. Not happy with the glue soaking into the (button) eyes, when it was meant to be a dry clear, but I guess the felt properties affected it.

Last month at Craftability I introduced watercolour to the ladies scrapbook pages.
Excuse the lack of posts lately, the blogger app on my phone had been playing up, but I've now found another one!

Some people can't seem to flip a sketch or layout around.. or think that if you don't have exactly the same kind of photo regarding colours. Oh and there we go, back to that old term of inspiration & interpretation. (Emma... Stop!) I'm so glad no one reads my rants!

Wasnt sure how to take the reactions, but when I showed a few people an idea of what we were doing, they didn't seem overly impressed, however, when they saw the layout in person, one said, ...' that picture didn't it justice!' - well why not just tell me straight out you didn't think much of it in the first place!  Pah!  Some people..
Well, Emma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-80753890470651882912014-05-06T10:47:00.001+01:002014-05-06T10:47:33.519+01:00Final lot of inspired artI have to say out of all the tags I made on Saturday at the crop I go to. (i know no scrapbooking on National Scrapbooking Day!)
It originated from a plain white cardstock tag and is totally one layer.
This stamp set was a bargain find at Ally Pally that Karen found, it is a Tim Holtz, Stampers Anonymous set called Natures Walk... I'm in love with it! And at this time love that I have a fabulousEmma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-83926439351771009522014-05-04T15:18:00.001+01:002014-05-04T15:18:46.297+01:00Inspiration - part threeAnother piece of inspiration from the 3up bloggers on paperartsy. This time coming from Kirsten Sheridan.
On Friday Kirsten created a textured, layered, abstract composition on greyboard.
I started again with a white card tag using 3 different blue acrylics layered up the different hues and added a strip of dictionary paper (can you tell I love this ephemera!).

On Friday I loved the art that Ruth Mescall entered on the blog. It was a multi coloured masterpiece!
I started out with a white cardstock tag. Gesso'd through my new stencil to add texture to the base, waited for it dry and collected some stamps (thank you Karen, mwah x)
For the flowers I used a Emma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-30756279689926784242014-05-03T22:43:00.001+01:002014-05-03T22:53:42.144+01:00Inspired...It's 3up week on the paperartsy blog this week. There was so much artwork and creativity going on, it was hard not to pick up a paint pot and splodge away! I loved the work that Lesley Ebdon created on a framed mirror and took my inspiration from her work.
At my recent trip to Alexandra Palace, I bought a tray from the mdf man that I am going to use for my craft tools.
This was the perfect Emma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-87835537268440739572014-05-02T15:06:00.001+01:002014-05-02T15:07:58.595+01:00JOFY scrapbooking! There are not many times that I would solely use stamps on a layout for scrapbooking. But my friend Karen showed me an example on the Paperartsy blog using JOFY stamps, but also laying it out in a project life styley!
So at our crop we go to, we set ourselves a mission to finish a layout!
It was great fun getting messy and laying out each rectangle to make a larger picture.
I finished off Emma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-39289031848650778122014-04-29T11:53:00.001+01:002014-04-29T11:53:45.769+01:00You've gotta start somewhere...So, a bad day for me means waiting for meds to kick in, blocking out the pain and normally watching YouTube!
Christy Tomlinson has always interested me, so finding out that we have lots in common surprised me! I watched a couple of her videos and one was her she art taster video.. and the impatient person that I am... Took some notes and once I collected the girls from school I Emma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-1139680030970615652014-04-27T10:57:00.001+01:002014-04-27T11:26:48.540+01:00Chalk Artiste - scrapbookingAnother session at Craftability in Ipswich. I used one sheet of patterned cardstock along with 3 coloured bazill c/s.
Trying to emulate the popular project life trend that is going on atm, I decided to trim 3 blocks of colour to mount on top of the cinder background. The blocks are 10x15cm. With photos mated on top of these, I took the flowers from the patterned paper andEmma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-5699318778906764612014-04-22T13:21:00.001+01:002014-04-22T13:28:51.792+01:00Can you tell what it is yet?So with it being Easter weekend, it was family time, so whilst some of the girls opted for another rendition of Disney's 'Frozen', the more sensible of us opted for a sulk around the dining table! So in order to try and cheer sad daughter, I suggested some decopatch...
We still had some finishing off to do on the kits the girls received at Christmas, so more 'foxy' business commenced!

An annual road trip for us crafting gals.
After a week of not having good health, plus entertaining the girls during their first week of the Easter holidays, it was a well deserved day out!
Many pennies spent, lots of stamps bought, cardstock, mdf blanks and a few dies later, 3pm came for our Emma Joynerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07479634641497714849noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805952597257004896.post-74556160128254575882014-04-11T15:03:00.001+01:002014-04-11T15:03:23.769+01:00Creative PaletteNEW TOY ALERT!
It was Karen's birthday so we decided to treat ourselves to something each! Well I thought that it was a good enough excuse!
Stampendous have brought the creative pallette a see through A4 clear sheet that you can apply mediums to and pull off 'prints' A bit like the Gelli plate, but cheaper! Lol always one for a bargain.

In the shop there were some new Authentique papers in a mix of ble and yellow, I really wanted to use them so put this layout together.
We used spritzers to add colour to the base white in the top right and bottom left hand colour. My friend Rachel is due with her second baby girl today. I am sending her positive labour vibes and hopefully her bundle of joy will arrive very soon so the family can meet her! Not only that, but Rachel is having to inject herself every day and will do for 6 weeks post birth due to a rare blood condition that Rachel has.
