playing with stamps and stuff part two

Carrying on from my adventures with many paints, stalls and stencils, here are 2 more items I created.
My new Suzi-blu stamp, pre-loved of course, took centre stage on this 8x8 page. I am going to be mounting this into a frame eventually.
The background paper is some I bought from TKMAXX, despite being very busy, worked well. I muted the centre with white gesso, stamp the image with archival ink and then added some white pen to accent her collar, hands and lace. And a red pen on the heart off the her dress.
the word courage came from a polka doodle stamp set and the other words we formed with a cheap dovecraft alphabet set I got at a retreat.
Adding layered flowers with splashes of red with a foundation of rounded red magic mesh made the picture just so.
oh, I also have the girl artist some lovely chunky stripey tights so she wasn't floating in the air!
I went with this saying, using the word courage, because whilst discussing what to put with Nancy, she said that she had this quote as atattoo .. so it had to be done!

Finally, a little card I made using a gorgeous image I've had for a while.
using some scraps I coordinated the outfit to match, and paper pieced the clothes with some added movement.
using a new TIM holtz diecut cutaway on the bottom right hand corner (which matched the patterned paper) I layered up the mounts and voila, a card a was complete!

Well be back later in the week with some fibre loveliness, I've spun up done lush, blue faced Leicester I bought on eBay... Trying to think what to make with it now!

Catch you later!
crafty hugs,
Emma

Had a play this weekend with my journal and stencils.. all work in progress! Lol
I wad going to enter them into the paperartsy challenge, but I missed the cut off point! What am I like!?
This one is a rather large LO in my Swedish book, I added lots of Decoart fluid acrylic paints with different stencils and using my new prima flower background stamps, then added a new girl image (I'm still perfecting faces)
I used the Dina words stencil to pick out the phrase "AT THE END OF THE DAY" strategically placed around the pages. Finishing with YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT as the main title.

This second page I made, was, believe it or not, from an supermarket advertising booklet.  I picked it up because the paper was lovely quality to make into a journal, however, I fell in love with this image and started doodling around the bits I liked.  The table and cake stand etc made Mr imagine me of a scene from alice in wonderland.
I white washed the rest of the picture and all of the selling blurb to leave the bits I wanted. Then using my 12x12 prima stencil, added the words pretty princess.
I love how this turned out!
